2035 - Five-color lithographic poster, advertising poster “DRINK A POUND OF MILK!”, featuring a toddler standing on a pillow holding a milk bottle and a cup; design by: Dore Mönkemeyer-Corty (1890–1970), artist’s signature “D. Corty” in the lower right corner of the print, printed by A. Goltz, Dresden, signs of age (including at least one small tear along the edge, at least some staining, signs of having been stored rolled up), approx. 89 x 57 cm, ca. 1910/15, poster for the Dresden dairy of the Pfund brothers, who were pioneers of modern milk production. After opening its first store in Dresden in 1882, featuring tiles by Villeroy & Boch, the company grew rapidly, so that by 1930 it already had 55 branches. The Pfund Dairy sold pasteurized milk, which had a much longer shelf life than the fresh milk commonly available at the time.
