2020 - Aquatint etching on China paper, mounted on copperplate printing board, MORD (1915), with the inscription “Max Klinger, Zelt II No. 39” printed below the image, as well as “Printed by Giesecke & Devrient” and embossing number 33, Sheet 39 from the series *DAS ZELT II* (WVZ Beyer 361, Opus XIV, Sheet 39), signs of age (including sheet edges with crease marks and minor damage, slightly stained), image approx. 21.5 x 16.5 cm, sheet approx. 58 x 41 cm; studied in 1874–75 at the Grand Ducal Baden Art School in Karlsruhe under Karl Gussow and Ludwig Des Coudres, in 1875 at the Royal Academy of Arts in Berlin; settled in Brussels from 1879 onward; in Berlin from 1881 onward; intensive engagement with graphic works, including the cycles *Intermezzi* and *Amor and Psyche*; stays in Paris, Rome, and Munich; lived in Leipzig from 1895; purchased a vineyard in Großjena near Naumburg in 1903; in addition to painting and printmaking, a leading figure in polychrome sculpture
