Lace Roses, France, circa 1890 A beautiful, large fan featuring a hand-embroidered lace panel in gauze stitch, appliquéd onto tulle, with an asymmetrical design of rose garlands. A rich border is adorned with numerous varied motifs. The frame is made entirely of light-colored tortoiseshell. The finial bears a gilded monogram. Small chain at the hinge. (Good condition.)
