Boldini, *The Garland of Cupids*, France, ca. 1890 Folded fan, with a bobbin-lace panel decorated with flowers, adorned in the center with a painted silk medallion depicting a young woman on a cloud holding two cherubs by a garland of flowers. Signed “Boldini” on the left. The reverse is blank. Frame entirely of re-pierced, engraved, silver-plated, and gilded goldfish mother-of-pearl. Ring handle. Height: 32.5 cm; Height of the fan leaf: 20.5 cm. In a satin box bearing the address “F. Mazères y Cia (…) in Buenos Aires” on the underside of the lid. Expert: Georgina Letourmy-Bordier
