Edgar Degas Edgar DEGAS (after) The Customer’s Departure Original print (etching and aquatint) after a monotype On Rives vellum, 25 x 32 cm INFORMATION: Around 1880, Degas undertook a series of monotypes inspired by Parisian brothels. These works remained in his personal collection and were purchased in the early 1920s by Ambroise Vollard (the famous dealer of Picasso, Cézanne, Renoir, and Georges Rouault). He entrusted them to Maurice Potin, who transferred them to copper plates and produced the prints. Vollard finally published them around 1935 in two portfolios, each printed in a run of approximately 350 copies. The engraving offered here comes from the archives of the engraver Maurice Potin. Excellent condition Shipping required; up to 5 lithographs in your package for €14.76 (including tax) in Metropolitan France, and €29.64 (including tax) for Europe
