Emile GALLE (1846–1904) & SAGLIER FRERES (silversmith) Jug, model created in 1907, with a tubular body on a flared base and a silver mount at the top featuring a small conical spout and a detached side handle decorated with chrysanthemums and foliage in semi-relief. Prototype in orange-lined glass on a milky white background. Chrysanthemum decoration engraved in acid-etched cameo and enhanced by the hot application of three cabochons of orange, purple, and green glass. Removable inner container with a tubular body of white glass and a tall silver mount featuring a small circular lid (small, elongated firing bubbles visible in the glass). Signed within the decoration, initials “CC” on the spout, marked on the inside of the lid: “Souvenir of the Standing Committee of the Union of French Gymnastics Societies,” dated April 11, 1907, and master and material hallmarks on each element.
