For this piece, Panoptikum combines several techniques: induced oxidation of iron particles in a painted coating, which evokes rusted foliage; stained oak; pearlescent paint; and a copper-based vacuum deposition, which gives the steel a lilac hue. Standing over two meters tall, the piece is as much a mirror as it is an installation. It is a work in which the exploration of surfaces becomes the very subject of the artwork.
