Abigail Simpson Untitled Sculpture Ceramic 2019 H100 L42 D42 cm Prioritizing philosophy over theory, Abigail Ozora Simpson defines herself first and foremost as a creator of objects, focused on what form evokes rather than what it demonstrates. This 2019 sculpture, one meter tall with a compact footprint, stands as a vertical figure whose interpretation remains deliberately open. The ceramic is worked on a scale rarely achieved with clay, requiring technical mastery of assembly and firing. A piece that invites the viewer to contemplate rather than interpret.
