CAERS, ANDRIES Antwerp Title: Two-Tier Pear Wood Coin Scale. Date: 1606–20. Material: A box made of pear wood. Iron scales with green cords. Brass weights. Dimensions: 4 x 13.5 x 6.5 cm. Mark: Shopkeeper’s mark; one of the pans is marked. Description: A tall rectangular box with chamfered corners, featuring embossed and incised decoration. The interior is decorated with carved ornamentation. A total of 19 weights, 10 of which are in the lid and 9 in the box. There is a counterweight beneath a small side drawer. The beam scale has one round and one triangular weighing pan.
