A major collection of photographs dedicated to the architectural heritage of the city of Paris and its urban development, featuring both historic and more recent buildings. It includes views of iconic places such as the Champs-Élysées, the Eiffel Tower, Place de la Concorde, Montparnasse, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Hôtel des Invalides, Place de la Madeleine, and the garden of the Palais Royal, with panoramic views, as well as surrounding areas: Sarcelles, Mantes, Créteil, Meudon, Saint-Ouen, etc. Studio Chevojon was an industrial photography studio founded in 1861 in Paris (9 rue Cadet, 9th arr.), and it remained highly influential well into the 1980s. The name was not actually adopted until 1886, when Albert Chevojon (1865–1925) purchased the business from the Durandelle and Delmaet studio. The studio worked for numerous architectural firms, contractors, industrialists, art publishers, metalworkers, and others. Many renowned photographers have taken photographs for this studio.
