In very good condition. Measurements: 77 x 95 x 43 cm. Crafted from solid ukola wood, with cedar wood interior and original porcelain handles, it features a composition of geometric volumes and straight lines, structured by drawers that reinforce the horizontal lines of the piece. The formal simplicity is a hallmark of the design, contrasting with the richness of the wood and the detail of the handles, which add a subtle decorative touch. Joaquim Belsa’s work for Aresta is part of the renewal of Spanish furniture design during the 1950s and 1960s, a period marked by the gradual incorporation of modern design languages into the domestic sphere. The “Serie Negra” collection reflects a conception of furniture based on geometry, simplicity, and attention to detail, combining the tradition of woodworking with a contemporary aesthetic. This dresser is an example of Spanish design from that era, in which functionality and formal elegance are integrated into pieces designed to stand the test of time.
