MARIE-MAD (Marie-Madeleine BOURDIN, known as). *Titounet and Titounette, Let’s Play in the Woods*: original plates from the album. 1961–1967 [reprinted 2007]. 23 original plates (22 plates measuring 28 x 22 cm and 1 cover plate measuring 30.5 x 24 cm) in India ink, with their colored tracings, in a cardboard sleeve with an elastic band and a handwritten title label. These 23 plates, created for the weekly magazine *Perlin et Pinpin* between 1961 and 1967, were later compiled for their reissue as an album by Éditions du Triomphe in 2007 under the title *Jouons au bois*. A collection of 11 stories, each 2 pages long (signed “Marie-Mad” on the second page): Titounet Paints / Titounet and His TV / Titounet and the Rally / Titounet Practices Soccer / Titounet and the Water Race / Titounet and the Surprise Gifts / Titounet and His Glider / Titounet and the Five Apples / Titounet Plays Firefighter / Titounet Plays Cowboy / Titounet Goes to Camp. Included is the original signed cover illustration for *Perlin et Pinpin* (No. 35, 1965), reused for the 2007 album; the colored tracing is crumpled. Annotations in the margins and on the reverse side; small stains in places; plates and tracing papers held together with adhesive tape. Provenance: the artist’s studio.
