The work features an expressive composition with gestural forms and broad brushstrokes, in a palette dominated by black, gray, and white, accented by subtle shades of pink. The energetic treatment of the material, the layering, and the contrasts reflect a pictorial approach characteristic of postwar abstraction. Monogram “M” inscribed in a circle at the lower left.
