Gemstones: 3 small, round gemstone cabochons (1 missing), Ø approx. 2.6 mm; 1 carved lion’s body. Description: An extraordinary necklace, featuring at its center an ancient Roman stone statuette of a resting lion, carved in the full-relief style. The animal is depicted in a reclining posture with its head raised, a distinctive mane, and its forepaws stretched out. The ancient miniature sculpture is mounted in a custom-made, architecturally designed gold setting. The necklace tapers at the sides and is sculpturally crafted with end pieces shaped like two snakes.
