An interesting collection of three works printed in Pesaro, An interesting collection of three works printed in Pesaro [Pesaro] A lot consisting of a volume containing three works by Annibale degli Abati Olivieri Giordani (1708–1789), dedicated respectively to the history and antiquities of Pesaro and its surrounding area. The first, *Memorie del porto di Pesaro*, traces the history and events of the city’s port, accompanied by a folded engraved plate depicting the port. The other two, titled *Di San Terenzio martire* (1776) and *Lettera e risposta ad un amico dimorante in Urbino* (1791), address religious, historical, and archaeological themes, featuring three engravings dedicated to antiquities. An archaeologist, numismatist, and bibliophile, Olivieri was one of the most important figures in the scholarly culture of the Marche region during the 18th century and devoted much of his work to the study and preservation of the region’s historical heritage. His library, built up over a long period of research and collecting, gave rise to the famous Oliveriana Library in Pesaro.
