Rare miscellaneous collection on the local history of Verona, Rare miscellaneous collection on the local history of Verona [Verona] A beautiful octavo volume with a 19th-century binding containing five rare works dedicated to the history, topography, and artistic heritage of Verona, published between 1792 and 1815. The volume opens with *Historical and Geographical Notes on the City of Verona*, printed in Belluno in 1792, featuring a folded plate depicting the Piazza delle Armi, followed by the 1793 edition, which includes a view of the city and a map. Next are the *Guide to the Churches, Paintings, and Buildings of the City of Verona*, a short work by P.M. Giuseppe Marini, published in 1797, featuring a fold-out plate, and the *Guide to the Buildings, Churches, and Paintings of Verona, or a Guide for Foreign Visitors*, printed in Verona in 1815 and accompanied by six fold-out plates. The volume serves as a particularly interesting testament to the popularity of guidebooks and historical-artistic descriptions of Verona between the 18th and 19th centuries, offering—through texts and illustrative material—a panorama of the city, its monuments, and its principal works of art. The miscellany is completed by a copy of *Paintings, Sculptures, and Architecture Worthy of the Attention of the Intelligent and the Amateur*, included as an appendix. Rare miscellany on the local history of Verona
