Woodcut vignettes on the title page; text in two columns in red and black type; various woodcut vignettes and initials; musical notation (few signs of age). 19th-century binding in brown morocco leather with rich gilded decoration; on the upper cover, the coat of arms of Duke Roberto of Parma with his monogram in the corners; a stylized family tree in the center of the lower cover; spine with 5 raised bands, title and monogram on the panels; gilded interior lace (spine slightly faded). Ex libris of Carlo Luigi di Borbone; Venerosi Pesciolini. Of particular interest is the provenance of Carlo Luigi di Borbone (1799–1883), Count of Villafranca, former King of Etruria and Duke of Lucca and Parma, a refined collector and bibliophile.
