Compressed cardboard liner, known as a Hawley liner. A few cracks and fabric tears along the edges. Damaged visor. Complete liner assembly. Neck guard present, as well as the sweatband and leather chin strap. Laundry number K9701 inscribed on the back of the liner. Note: The helmet shows some wear and patina. Condition II+. US M1 helmet with Hawley liner. US M1 helmet shell with front seam. Heat lot number 26B. Fixed bales. Chinstraps present. Approximately 80% of the paint and cork finish remaining. Some small black paint stains. Compressed-fiber Hawley liner. Some cracks and tears in the fabric around the edges. Visor damaged. Complete suspension. Nape strap present along with the sweatband and leather chinstrap. Laundry number K9701 written on the back of the liner. Some wear and patina on the item. Condition II+.
