Vintage CUERVO Y SOBRINOS watch, No. 2148XX. Cuba. Steel case. White circular dial with black Arabic numerals. Cobalt blue pear-shaped hands. Plexiglass crystal. Fluted crown at the 3 o’clock position for the date window. Leather strap with buckle clasp; not original to the brand. Hand-wound movement with Russian Roskopf mechanism. Movement number 40343. It works. Comes with a leather case. Exhibits wear consistent with age and use. Measurements: 45 mm (case diameter); 55 x 50 mm (total case width with crown). In the watch descriptions, when it states “it works,” it means the watch is functioning. Since collector’s watches typically have delicate and complex movements, the buyer is responsible for any general servicing, inspection, battery replacement, adjustment, or repair that may be necessary.
