- GALETTE ST MICHEL - JH GRELLIER - c.1930 Rare original advertising medallion made of sheet metal, with an offset print in the shape of a round galette, intended to decorate grocery store display cases. Diameter: 15.7 cm. “SPAP PARIS.” On the back: an original paper label, reflecting the logistics network of the time, bearing the commercial notation: “S. R. - Dépôt PONS - 5” Illustration by Pierre ROY (uncredited) - Good overall condition - Colors are well-preserved with a subtle sheen. Very subtle, localized traces of oxidation along the edges, a few slight creases nearly invisible to the naked eye, and traces of the original period protective paper. The Saint-Michel biscuit factory was founded in 1905 by Joseph Grellier in Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef with the creation of the Saint-Michel galette. Loire-Atlantique/Pays de la Loire
