MEUSE-MONOPOLE BEER - 1932 Signed “Jean Adrien MERCIER” Original lithographed advertising card. 39.5 x 29.5 cm. “Imp. V. Idoux. Nancy” Slight signs of moisture and sun damage. There are two to three creases down the center from normal handling. Includes its original insert designed to hold the ephemeris calendar. The piece forms an attractive Art Deco composition signed “Jean Adrien Mercier. 1932.” Founded in 1890 by Adolphe Kreiss and Henri Bungener, the Brasseries de la Meuse operated facilities in Bar-le-Duc and Sèvres. Their expansion accelerated in 1906 with the acquisition of the Brasseries Nantaises, extending their reach to 22 departments.
