Bernd Hahn, portfolio “Antikes Prinzip” six prints (mixed media combining colour etching and relief printing) and two introductory sheets (mixed media combining offset printing and colour etching), each on sturdy handmade paper, published by Edition B 53/Dresden, elaborately designed portfolio, each print signed and dated in lead below the image on the right as "B. Hahn (19)95” and numbered “0/30” on the left (printer’s proof), portfolio cover signed and dated again; one sheet shows traces of mounting on the reverse, which show slight show-through; sheet dimensions approx. 54 x 39.5 cm. Artist’s biography: German painter and printmaker (1954, Neustadt, Saxony - 2011, Burgstädtel), 1970-73: apprenticeship as a construction worker with A-levels; 1975-79: studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden; freelance since 1981 and admitted to the VBK of the GDR; from 1982: collaboration with Jürgen Wenzel, Anton Paul Kammerer and Andreas Küchler, and co-founder of the B53 Joint Print Workshop; in 1994, received a scholarship from the Villa Massimo in Rome; 2002-03, visiting professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden; Source: Eisold, ‘Artists in the GDR’ and the internet.
