Maria Aldernaght, attributed, Four sketchbooks four sketchbooks of varying content from the first quarter of the 20th century, some containing figure, nude and movement sketches, others featuring landscapes such as ‘Petersberg’ and a view of the Stadthallen with the belfry in Bruges, various techniques, mostly charcoal or pencil, dated between 1914 and 1922; one inscribed ‘Maria Aldernaght’; varying states of preservation; some with pages cut out, others with loose drawings enclosed; signs of age; maximum book size approx. 19 x 28.5 cm.
