Silver writing set, Sweden 1876, silver hallmarked with the Three Crowns mark, Malmö assayer’s mark, date mark X5? for 1876, maker’s mark Carl Lyxdorph?, inkwell standing on four paw-shaped feet with a notched rim, the rim featuring a continuous engraved ornamental band, a moulded pen rest, a small base dish mounted in the centre, removable colourless glass vessels on both sides with detachable lids, bevelled edges and a star engraved into the base; one glass has a tiny chip and a hairline crack running through the body, L 19 cm, weight of silver approx. 328 g.
