KPM Berlin pictorial plate ‘Heartfelt Morning Greeting’ based on a painting by the German artist Karl Gussow (1843-1907), monogrammed O.M. in the bottom left-hand corner, manufacturer’s mark from 1825, stamp mark and number 237 153, as well as brush mark; tall rectangular porcelain plate with fine polychrome overglaze painting and accentual relief gilding; against a light background, a bust portrait of a young, looking to the side, in a white blouse with gold lace and a sun hat decorated with flowers; set in a wide, gold-bronze-plated stucco frame, which has been partially retouched with colour; otherwise in good condition for its age; plate dimensions 23.5 x 16 cm, frame dimensions 36.5 x 28.5 cm.
