Meissen ‘Lady with Handbag’ Designed by Alfred König in 1911, monogrammed, underglaze blue ‘Knaufschwert’ mark (1860-1924), painted once, incised model number B232, modeller’s number 86 and painter’s number 67, naturalistic modelling with polychrome underglaze and overglaze painting as well as gold decoration; an Art Nouveau lady in period costume, striding against the wind on an oval plinth, holding her opulent hat, a rare fashion figurine; the brim of the hat is minimally chipped and there is a tiny ‘flea bite’ in the grey paint beneath the brooch; otherwise in good condition; H 26.5 cm.
