5629 - A Heckler & Koch Mod. HK 4 Light Dot training pistol, Customs Office

A Heckler & Koch Mod. HK 4 Light Dot training pistol, Customs Office Serial number 27. Standard two-line inscription on the left side of the slide. Original finish with minimal signs of wear. The safety lever cannot be moved (as it should be!). Flawless black plastic grip. Fully functional. Comes in an HK box with an HK4 owner’s manual. In 1977, Heckler & Koch converted approximately 100 HK4s into “red dot pistols” on behalf of the Federal Customs Administration. In a standard grip, a power supply using a 9V block battery was installed in the magazine well. The slide was replaced by a capacitor, the barrel by a plastic tube with an end lens, and a light bulb was installed in the chamber. Behind the trigger is a switch that can be operated either directly or via the trigger to practice single-shot and double-shot firing. A light spot briefly appears at the target, indicating the point of impact. An interesting design—a rarity! Condition: I -
