A civil defense rifle, first half of the 19th century Smoothbore barrel, 17.8 mm caliber; iron front sight on the top, rear sight on the tail screw blade. Modified percussion lock; no manufacturer’s markings on the lock plate. Solid walnut stock with brass fittings. The stock and brass fittings were previously cleaned and varnished. All metal parts show surface rust. On the left side of the stock, there are seven holes, each 3 mm in diameter, of unknown purpose. On the right side of the butt, a military stamp reading “L.621.A. (?)”. The upper ring spring and upper ring are missing, as is the ramrod. As found; condition could be improved through cleaning. Length 150 cm. Condition: III -
