A Mauser M71 system target rifle Cal. 16/40 (Black Powder), No. NW503, heavy, matte octagonal barrel with a good rifling profile, length 83 cm. Adjustable front sight; rear sight adjustable for elevation and windage on a prism rail. German rear sight with fine adjustment. Barrel top signed “Bruno Halbach Büchsenmacher Aachen.” Belgian proof marks on the left side of the muzzle, on the receiver, and on the breech; German proof marks on the underside of the barrel: crown/"G," crown/"B," and crown/"U." Original, thin, partially slightly mottled bluing on the barrel, receiver, and trigger guard. Polished cylinder lock. Walnut stock with cheek piece; recess on the butt plate for diopter mount. The support rail and sling swivel are missing from the underside of the forend; the butt plate is missing from the stock. Length 135 cm. WBK: Caution—License Required—more info here Condition: II -
