A Moeller & Kellner Gotha side-by-side combination gun, with side-by-side shotgun barrels, in a case Cal. 16/65, Cal. 11.15x60R M71, No. 1406, polished musket-style shotgun barrels. Length 70 cm. Slightly rough double-barreled interchangeable barrels. Length 76 cm. Both barrel sets are made of Bernard damask and show remnants of the original bluing on the exterior. Barrel rib marked in gold with “Moeller & Kellner, Zella b/ Gotha.” Valid proof mark. Double-hook barrel lock with Greener cross-bolt. Steel action with exposed springs and finely crafted hammers. The action, side plates, hammers, and trigger guard are extensively engraved with arabesques. Double trigger with a set-off in the front trigger. The trigger guard extends into a horn scroll. Dark walnut stock with fish-scale checkering and an elongated German cheek piece. Engraved steel butt plate with an integrated stock magazine for one shotgun shell and two bullet cartridges. Includes a wooden rifle case (dimensions 82 x 32 x 10 cm; key missing) with extensive accessories (cleaning rod, powder measure, screwdriver, ramrod pliers, casting mold, etc.).
