M. von Hermann, Munich, c. 1822, volumes I-IX, 40 pages and 17 of 36 old-coloured colour lithographs depicting traditional dress and costumes of the various social classes, Large 4° format, in a contemporary half-leather binding with gold embossing on the spine, cardboard covers covered with marbled paper, inside front cover bearing the bookplate of Paul Beilby Thompson; the binding is heavily rubbed and slightly bumped, with some staining throughout, and shows signs of age and wear.
