View of the harbor with ships anchored in the foreground. In the background, beneath a cloudy sky, the silhouette of the city and St. Nikolai Church, first mentioned in a document in 1276. Mounted under a mat and glass in an old, simple wooden frame; the backing is handwritten with “Stralsund.” Image dimensions: 21 x 27.5 cm; frame dimensions: 35.5 x 48.5 cm. Willy Stöwer is one of the best-known marine painters of the Imperial era. Condition: II +
