A shako for non-commissioned officers of the Royal Württemberg transport troops, circa 1900 Shako body made of pressed felt with a fine black fabric covering (minimal holes), top and visor made of leather (cracked), flat brass scale chains lined with leather attached to a No. 91 button; on the right, the Imperial cockade for non-commissioned officers made of lacquered sheet metal. The silver-plated Württemberg coat of arms beneath a crown is affixed to the front, secured by leather wedges. An officer’s cockade is inserted at the top, made of silver and black braid with a red center and a black velvet backing. Good brown leather lining on the flaps. Partially slightly damaged; shows signs of wear and age. Rare. Condition: II
