A helmet for military officers, circa 1900 Black-lacquered leather cup (rough surface) with a square front visor and silver-plated fittings. Screw-mounted imperial eagle, smooth screw tip on a cross-shaped base with four gold-plated star-head screws. Curved, leather-backed scale chains made of silver-plated brass (heavily worn) attached to pin-mounted rosettes, along with an imperial cockade and a state cockade in the officer’s style. Beige silk ribbed lining (5 mm holes), ochre-colored leather sweatband, red and green-lined visors; the old size marking “56 1/2” inside the crown. Partially slightly damaged, signs of age. Beautifully preserved in its original condition. Condition: II
