A cap for officers of the Uhlan Regiments No. 4, 9–12, circa 1900 Black-lacquered leather body (crackled, with an early extension at the back of the head) with gold-plated brass fittings (worn). The line eagle for officers is screwed onto the front. Arched, leather-backed brass scale chains attached to pin rosettes; on the right, the imperial cockade for officers made of lacquered sheet iron; at the top, an inserted, restored regimental insignia made of silver cantilles and black felt. Ochre-colored leather sweatband (tears, repairs, stamp), ochre-colored silk ribbed lining (stained). The Kassel inventory stamp “IL 7:96” appears multiple times on the bell. Previously restored, partly slightly damaged, signs of age. Condition: II
