Austrian infantry officer’s sabre M 1861, wedge-shaped blade with a hollow edge on both sides, manufactured in Solingen, distributed by Blazinck in Vienna, oval crossguard with two slits for the portepee, merging into the guard, full-length pommel, hilt covered in fish-scale leather with remnants of wrapping, metal scabbard with a carrying loop, plus a sword knot made of gold braid with blue threading and a gold tassel; the neck of the tassel embroidered with a ‘K’ on both sides; signs of age; blade slightly stained; all metal parts rusted; grip wrapping only partially preserved; total length 98 cm.
