Two fascine knives, German, 19th/20th centuries Saxon Model 1849 with a sturdy wedge-shaped blade (darkened, mottled, partially pitted), bearing the crowned mark “JR” (King Johann) and “P.D.L.” (Lüneschloss, Solingen) at the base, Brass sheath (polished) with a ribbed handle, featuring the crown mark and the stamp “12 R 8 77” on the crossguard. Also included is a 1852 model (presumably from Württemberg) with a short wedge-shaped blade (stained), bearing the stamp “Alex. Coppel Solingen” at the hilt and “W 12” beneath a crown on the back; cross-shaped brass guard with an S-shaped crossguard; black leather scabbard (worn) with smooth non-ferrous metal fittings. Clear signs of wear and age. Lengths: 62 and 60.5 cm. Condition: II
