An M 1886 helmet for infantry officers Black-lacquered leather cup (sunken, craquelé, heat marks on the visors) with a square front visor and gold-plated brass fittings. Riveted emblem. Neck strap, cross-blade fitting with beaded frieze, three star-shaped rivets (the fourth front hole in the body is vacant), and a removable, fluted tip. Flat, leather-backed scale chains attached to插-in rosettes; both officer’s cockades are made of lacquered sheet metal. Light brown sweat leather with light blue silk ribbing (soiled, tears), green and red-lined visors, with the old size marking “55 1/2” in the crown. Partially slightly damaged, signs of age. Condition: II - III
