A M 1853 sword for non-commissioned officers of the military justice system Sturdy blade with a diamond-shaped cross-section (stained), with a double fuller on both sides extending halfway down the blade; the blade root is marked “B” and bears the manufacturer’s etching from Coulaux, Klingenthal. Brass pommel with two guard plates; on the terz side, a bundle of rods in front of a flag trophy; on the quart side, a folding guard plate (locking mechanism defective). Cast hilt with a hint of coiling, decorated with oak and laurel leaves. Brass-studded leather scabbard (restored black finish). Partially slightly damaged, signs of age. Length 96 cm. Cf.
