A German family’s collection of decorations, 19th/20th centuries From Friedrich Graf: Four-part decoration clasp with 1897 anniversary medal, KD 1870/71 and three battle clasps, Baden Field Service Medal with three clasps (1866, 1870, 1871), Landwehr Service Medal 1877 (“FWL”). From Melchior Walter: Four-part medal bar with KD 1870/71 and two combat clasps, Baden Field Service Award with two clasps (1870, 1871), Jubilee Medal 1897, Landwehr Service Medal 1877 (“FWL”). From Ludwig Walter: EK 2 1914 with magnetic core on a single-bar buckle (on the reverse, the pin has been replaced by a safety pin) and FEK made of bronzed iron (“R.V. Pforzheim 21”) on a single-bar buckle, oval portrait photograph and fabric ribbon “Landwehr-Vierziger-Treffen” on Sept. 11–12, 1937. In an older wooden frame (glass cover missing); the originally dark green velvet background has now turned ochre due to exposure to light. Medal buckles are fixed in place (not removable); medals in the lower row are loosely attached. Some fasteners have been replaced with safety pins. Partially slightly damaged; shows signs of wear and age. Frame dimensions: 27.5 x 37 x 4.5 cm. Condition: II
