Utagawa Hiroshige, Scene on the River Oi Drawn in 1832/33, slightly later print, signed and stamped, 24th sheet from the ‘53 Stations of the Tōkaidō’, Shimada: The Suruga bank of the River Oi, colour woodblock print on paper; the scene, featuring numerous figures and depicted from a bird’s-eye view, shows the perilous crossing of the river on horseback and on foot, mounted in a passe-partout behind glass in a narrow frame, slight signs of wear, passe-partout dimensions 23 x 36 cm.
