An Austrian hunting sword, first half of the 17th century Straight back blade, triple-grooved on both sides, with a double-edged point. Sawtooth mark stamped on the quarter side. Iron hilt with a fist guard and a large, downward-sloping, shell-shaped guard. Iron surfaces cleaned, showing grain. Horn grip scales with cross-shaped decorative iron rivets at the thirds and two brass-backed rivets each on the pommel. Length 79 cm. Condition: II–III
