New illustrated edition featuring 360 separate plates, including 11 bis finely enhanced with watercolors by E. Panckoucke and J. Fr. Turpin. They depict the entire plants and some details of their flowers or seeds. All of these plants are used in medicinal preparations. They are arranged in alphabetical order and accompanied by one or more pages of explanatory text that particularly highlight their use in the field of health. A very fine copy in full period morocco leather, which is rare. (Common) foxing spots.
