The French offensive was repelled thanks to the arrival of a Spanish relief army under the command of Gerolamo Maria Caracciolo and Rodrigo Ponce de Leon. From *Neuwe Archontologia Cosmica, das ist, Beschreibung aller Käyserthumben Königreichen und Republicken der gantzen Welt*, by Johann Philip Zabelin (pseudonym Johann Ludwig Gottfried), first published in Frankfurt in 1638, reprinted in Latin in 1638 and 1649, and in German in 1646 and 1695. (1) Leaf with margins as in the original. Vertical binding crease in the center. A short tear at the lower margin. Traces of some slight creases and minimal signs of wear.
