From *Mundus Subterraneus*, compiled in XII books, describing the divine craftsmanship of the subterranean world and the marvelous distribution of nature’s workshops therein [...], first published in Amsterdam in 1664–1665, with subsequent expanded editions in 1668 and 1678. The map depicts the Americas with a theoretical and geographical focus on tidal movements (fluxus et refluxus) in the American isthmus and the Strait of Magellan. (1) Complete sheet with original margins; vertical binding fold in the center, open at the top for a short distance. Small tear at the lower margin. Slight signs of wear.
