Spine with embossed ribbing and palmettes, and remnants of a paper label. Endpapers in marbled paper. Contains 118 uncut leaves with laid-paper edges. At the beginning of the volume is a STRATTO index listing 60 entries referring to farms, plots of land, and forests. One blank page; from page 3 to 116, 56 beautiful pairs of maps, the first showing a schematic relief of the parcel with measurements in square canes and square braccia (scale of canes according to Florentine custom), followed by an illustrative plate of the location featuring a bird’s-eye view rendered in pen, brown ink, and watercolor; each plate includes a rock-shaped cartouche containing the place name, neighboring properties, and the month and year of the survey. Some views feature figures engaged in work and rural activities, drawn in pen and brown ink.
