Meissen Königliche Porzellanmanufaktur An early Meissen porcelain sugar box with acanthus relief Oval model, with original domed lid. Surrounding strapwork border and additional floral relief decoration; gilt interior. Blue crossed swords mark. A few chips to the inner rim of the box; the interior gilding partially retouched. Width 12.5 cm, depth 10 cm. After 1720; the gold decoration attributed to Johann George Funcke. Provenance Private colletion Westphalia, purchased from Röbbig art dealers, Munich. Literature Cf.
