Parisi / 1641.” Lower part of the plate depicting a plan and view of the siege of Arras, showing a topographical view with the besieging troops in the foreground descending the hill; in the center of the plain lies the city of Arras, surrounded by military fortifications, with troops to the right and left; The upper portion, featuring a front-view of the city with troops on foot and horseback deployed, is missing here. Excellent impression in the only state on thin laid paper, apparently without a watermark. (1) Copy trimmed within the copperplate impression with narrow margins extending beyond the framing line on three sides. Sheet mounted at the top within a modern cardboard mount. Slight traces of minimal marginal creases.
