A beautiful print in the second state of three (variant a of b) according to Bromberg, State I (later) or State II (early) of 4 according to Montecuccoli degli Erri, prior to the diagonal crack at the base of the right wall of the house, printed with fine line definition on thick Venetian laid paper without a watermark. At the bottom of the reverse, in pen and brown ink, “Wm Harvell” (perhaps William Harvell, Reading 1782–Kensington 1857). (1) Copy trimmed on all four sides by 6/7 mm within the copperplate border. On the reverse, marginal peeling and paper residue at the corners.
