A Victorian silver 14k gold diamond and sapphire heart locket. Three-part piece comprised of a convex heart-shaped pendant, pavé-set with 46 light blue round sapphires (approx. 9.2 ct), the reverse with a glazed locket containing a hairwork insert. Surmounted by a bow and a three-leaf clover, set with old-cut and cushion-cut diamonds. Not hallmarked. Height 4.0 cm. Width 2.5 cm. Weight 12.52 g. Last quarter 19th century. Provenance South German family ownership.
